Professor Colin Nuckolls Named PAQM MRSEC Director

Professor Colin Nuckolls has been named the new Director of the Columbia MRSEC for Precision-Assembled Quantum Materials.

Professor Colin Nuckolls has been named the new Director of the Columbia MRSEC for Precision-Assembled Quantum Materials. 

Processor Nuckolls is the Sheldon and Dorothea Buckler Professor of Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry at Columbia University, and is a member of the PAQM IRG2 team. His research focuses on integrating reaction chemistry into electrical devices.

In addition to his work with the Columbia MRSEC, Professor Nuckolls is a founding member of the Columbia Nano Initiative, recipient of a Sloan Research Fellowship, a Beckman Young Investigator Award, a 2008 ACS Arthur C. Cope Scholar Award recipient, and a 2009 ACS Baekeland Award recipient.

Professor Nuckolls replaces Professor James Hone, who will remain Associate Director of the PAQM MRSEC and will take over as Chair of the Mechanical Engineering Department in the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science.
