Outreach and Education
The education and outreach activities of the Columbia University MRSEC are designed to improve science, technology, engineering, mathetmatics (STEM) and materials education at all levels, from K-12 to graduate education.
Activities include a summer research program including undergraduates, community college students and high school students; primary school outreach; a high school 'nano' course; workshops for local teachers; updates to undergraduate and graduate curricula; and seminars/courses for graduate students and postdocs.
These education activities are coupled with a diversity program designed to broaden participation at all levels. Click on the tabs at the left to learn more about specific PAQM outreach programs.
